TOD: Feel free to introduce yourself.

AO: My name is Anthony Olivella, better known as Tony or Tone. I'm 29 years old, born and raised in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn.

TOD: How long have you been riding?

AO: I've been riding fixed gear now in total a little over 3 years.

TOD: Does your work day consist of riding a bike?

AO: Unfortunately, not any more. I've worked for many different messenger companies but ultimately it wasn't my calling. I'm an electrician by trade, residential, commercial you name it I'll get it done.

TOD: What type of bike are you riding?

AO: Right now my everyday ride is a 2013 Leader 721 with a 80mm carbon fiber tubular Planet X wheelset.

TOD: What’s your take on riding in NYC?

AO: NYC riding is its own type of animal. There's really no way to express the challenges and obstacles we overcome on our everyday rides, you just have to LIVE IT!!!

TOD: Can you explain your most memorable experience while riding in NYC

AO: My most memorable experience might have to be my very first Monster Track experience. (Monster Track is hands down one of the biggest alleycat races NYC has to offer) It was incredible to see that many people together to race for prizes but mainly bragging rights lol especially In that crazy snow we had for it last year.

TOD: Aside from cycling, do you have any other hobbies

AO: Besides cycling I'm a huge movie buff, I can recite certain movies line for line if I had to lol. I'm also big into electronics but mainly just having a great time with great people is what keeps me coming back!

TOD: Finish this sentence – If I never rode a bike, I would………

AO: If I never rode a bike, I would probably be wasting a shit ton of money on the MTA and cabs. Like I say to everybody not riding, GET A BIKE YA LAZY FUCK YA!!!!
